Effective date: May 26, 2026

Rocket Pickle helps pickleball groups create leagues, coordinate games, log scores, calculate ratings, and remember the good stuff. This policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Rocket Pickle, we may process:

  • Account information such as your email address, authentication ID, login provider, and account status when you sign in.
  • League information such as league names, invite codes, settings, home court details, public league visibility, active session counts, and admin settings.
  • Roster and player information such as player display names, claimed player links, guest status, Arena participation, DIL ratings, rating confidence, and player settings.
  • Match and session information such as generated matchups, manual match logs, scores, edits, active sessions, completed sessions, rankings, standings, badges, recaps, and insights.
  • Social and engagement information such as feed posts, comments, likes, fan favorite votes, game mode votes, and player cards you choose to create or share.
  • Upcoming game information such as game title, time, location name, address, coordinates, public-map setting, and level-of-play range when you create or edit an upcoming game.
  • Device and notification information such as Expo push tokens if you enable notifications.
  • Voice-entry text used to help autofill a manual match form when you choose to use voice entry.
  • Payment and subscription status if subscriptions are enabled, such as plan tier, provider, customer/subscription identifiers, selected Go league, current period end, and billing status. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Basic technical information that Firebase, hosting providers, app stores, browsers, and device platforms may process to operate, secure, and debug the service.

How We Use Information

  • To create and join leagues, keep rosters organized, and remember which leagues belong to your account.
  • To generate games, log matches, calculate DIL ratings, display standings, and produce stats and insights.
  • To support social features such as feed moments, likes, fan favorites, votes, player cards, and league activity updates.
  • To coordinate upcoming games, show league/home court locations, support public league or public game map features, and power location-based experiences.
  • To sync your player claim, subscription status, and plan access across web, iOS, and Android when you sign in.
  • To send notifications you allow and to help keep the app reliable, secure, and abuse-resistant.
  • To respond to support, admin, moderation, or account-management requests.

Public and Shared League Information

Rocket Pickle is built for groups. League members may be able to see league rosters, player names, match history, scores, rankings, feed activity, fan favorite voting, upcoming games, and related league content. If a league or upcoming game is made public, limited location and league/game information may appear on public Rocket Pickle pages or maps.

Premium visibility features may hide or lock certain player names for some users, but the underlying match and rating calculations may continue in the background so leagues stay accurate.

Location, Home Courts, and Maps

When you set a league home court or create an upcoming game location, Rocket Pickle may process the location name, address, place ID, latitude, and longitude. Location search and address suggestions may use Google Maps services or related map providers. Those providers process map searches under their own terms and privacy policies.

Microphone and Voice Entry

Microphone and speech-recognition access are used only when you explicitly start voice entry to fill a manual match form.

  • Rocket Pickle does not intentionally store raw microphone audio as part of your league records.
  • The spoken result is converted to text so the app can identify players and scores and prefill the manual match form.
  • That dictated text is used transiently for autofill and is not intentionally stored long term by Rocket Pickle unless you choose to save the resulting match data.
  • If you save the match, we store the structured match result you approved, not a long-term audio recording.

On the app, speech recognition may be provided by your device operating system. On the webapp, speech recognition may be provided by your browser or browser vendor. Those providers process speech under their own terms and policies.

Voice Text and AI Parsing

When you use voice entry, the transcribed text may be sent to Rocket Pickle backend services to match spoken names and scores against the current league roster. We first try to parse with application logic. If that is not confident enough, the app can fall back to an OpenAI parsing request using the transcribed text and current roster names/IDs for that league. This parsing step is used for the current manual entry and is not intended to create a long-term transcript history.

Payments and Subscriptions

If subscriptions are enabled, payments may be processed by Stripe on the web and by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or similar purchase providers on mobile. These providers handle payment details under their own terms and privacy policies. Rocket Pickle may store subscription status, plan tier, billing provider, customer/subscription identifiers, selected league for Go, current period end, and related entitlement information so access can work across devices.

Where Data Is Stored and Processed

Rocket Pickle uses Firebase services for authentication, database storage, hosting, and backend functions. We may also use Expo for push notifications, Google Maps or map providers for location search and maps, OpenAI for fallback voice parsing, Stripe or app-store purchase providers for subscriptions, and analytics or diagnostics tools needed to operate the service.

Your Choices

  • Sign-in is optional for basic league entry; some features such as claimed names, voting, sync, and subscription access require an account.
  • You can deny microphone access and continue using manual text selection for players and scores.
  • You can choose not to use voice entry.
  • You can disable notifications from your device settings.
  • You can choose whether to make eligible leagues or upcoming games public when those controls are available.
  • You can manage subscription and billing through the provider used for purchase when subscriptions are enabled.

Data Retention

We keep league, roster, match, rating, feed, account, and subscription records for as long as needed to operate Rocket Pickle, maintain league history, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and support account or admin requests. Some league records are shared group history and may remain available to league members even if one participant stops using the service.

Children

Rocket Pickle is intended for general league organization and is not directed to children under 13. Do not use Rocket Pickle to knowingly submit personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate permission from a parent or guardian.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy as Rocket Pickle changes. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Rocket Pickle after an update means the updated policy applies going forward.
